Former Co-host of Fox News’ ‘The Five’ Dead

One of the founding members of Fox News’ “The Five” is no longer with us.

Bob Beckel has passed away.

He was 73 years old.

The Five

When “The Five” first aired in July 2011, it was an immediate hit.

The show was only initially slated to be a temporary show to fill an open time slot.

Today, it remains a staple of the network and one of the most-watched shows on cable TV news in its timeslot.

Two of the show’s original co-hosts that worked with Beckel still remain on the panel.

That would be Greg Gutfeld and Dana Perino,

Beckel was a former Democrat strategist with the contrarian opinion to stir the pot.

Beckel left the show for a bit in 2015 to head over to CNN, but he returned only two years later, resuming his role on “The Five.”

Upon learning of his passing, Sean Hannity stated, “He was always full of joy, happiness, light, sunshine.

“He loved God and Jesus and we miss him already. God bless you, God speed, Bob Beckel.”

Laura Ingram called him an “old-time liberal who you could fight with… but we always had a laugh afterward.”

Rest in peace, Bob.

I cannot recall ever agreeing with a single word you said, but you sure did make for some great TV.
