Rules for thee, but not for me.
That is the new adage of our government.
We have all seen our elected officials thumb their noses at mandates and laws we are all required to follow, and it is happening again.
Not for Congress
This week, Joe Biden announced sweeping mandates that will impact tens of thousands of business owners and tens of millions of Americans.
The new vaccine mandates could literally put people out of work… unless they work for Congress.
That’s right… the mandates that Biden issued will NOT be enforced in Congress.
The mandates are using OSHA as a workaround, but that still may not hold up when these mandates wind up in court, and they will.
Regardless, anyone working for “Congress or the federal court system” will not be required to follow the mandates.
Why you ask?
Well, apparently, Executive Orders do not cover members of Congress or their staff.
This will also be challenged on the privacy front, including HIPPA laws.
House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) paved the way to this path herself in April.
At the time, Pelosi stated, “We cannot require someone to be vaccinated. That’s just not what we can do.
“It is a matter of privacy to know who is or who isn’t.
“I can’t go to the Capitol Physician and say, ‘Give me the names of people who aren’t vaccinated, so I can go encourage them or make it known to others to encourage them to be vaccinated.’ So we can’t — we can’t do that.”
She’s right… they cannot do that, yet that is exactly what Biden is ordering small business owners to do with their employees.
It’s illegal, and it’s unconstitutional.
