There is reportedly a bit of a rift starting in the Democrat Party.
Reports are surfacing that DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison is thinking about stepping down.
Harrison is growing increasingly worried that Biden’s disastrous presidency will lead to a Republican rout in November, and he wants no parts of it.
Fact or Fiction?
During a recent interview with NBC News, Harrison pledged to fulfill his four-year term.
He told the network that he had “made a commitment to be president” and that he would remain in place.
That, however, is not what sources that formerly worked at the DNC are claiming.
The relationship between Harrison and this administration appears to be hanging by a thread.
Even though the media is staying away from a lot of the controversial stuff, Joe Biden’s actions are impacting fundraising.
One source stated, “There’s blame to be shared.
“Has he demonstrated that he’s going to move heaven and earth to raise money and defend the administration?
“No. But it’s pretty impossible to defend what’s happening and not happening.”
South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Trav added, “I think Chairman Harrison is doing the best job he possibly can, given some of the parameters in which he works.”
While Trav has offered support, other Democrats believe that Harrison may be in over his head in this position.
There have also been accusations that Harrison is a bit lazy, not wanting put in the hours, effort, and travel it takes to be a successful platform chairman.
Harrison has also been overly protective regarding COVID, making few appearances and when he does show up, it is almost comical.
For instance, during a debate with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Harrison brought his own plastic divider, as though that would stop germs from spreading through the air.
A former DNC official stated, “You don’t hear about him. You don’t see him.
“There’s nothing there. He’s not out there fighting the fight.”
Publicly, Biden has supported Harrison, stating, “Jaime Harrison is here and he’s doing an outstanding job as the DNC chair.
“The DNC has been a critical partner in all of our work this year.’
Regardless, many now believe it is just a matter of time before Harrison packs his bags and looks for work elsewhere.
