Crenshaw Introduces Bill to Require DNA Testing for Migrant Families

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) introduced some commonsense legislation to help control immigration.

It is shocking that nobody had thought of doing this until now.

Crenshaw’s legislation would require DNA testing for immigrant family units.

Makes Sense

We know that many of these children coming across the border are sometimes escorted by traffickers.

The cartel and other nefarious operations have used Biden’s loose border policies to expand their human trafficking operations.

The new legislation proposed by the Texas congressman would not only require DNA testing, it would also implement the safeguard of allowing longer hold times for minors to ensure they are being released to the right people.

The current law only calls for a maximum 72-hour holding time.

When these children are coming in, that rule often leads to the entire family unit being released before proper identity checks can be performed.

Crenshaw, on this legislation, stated, “Children are being exploited to take advantage of our immigration system because of the perverse incentives that exist in current law.

“It’s cruel to children and it’s fueling the border crisis, and it needs to change. That’s why I proposed a bill to modify the Flores settlement.”

I agree with him completely on this and think this legislation is an excellent start to getting a handle on the current out-of-control border situation.
