In the last week or so, the movement regarding vaccines, masks, and the new Delta variant has been pretty significant.
There is a major difference in this wave versus the first wave that is being missed, however, and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is not happy about it.
Science is literally being ignored by the CDC to push a narrative that Democrats want pushed, so says Cruz.
What About Science
I need you to bear with me for just a few minutes so we can go over the background on this so you can appreciate Senator Cruz’s stance.
The United States was running more than 600,000 positives per day at its height, with anywhere between 2,000 to 5,000 or so deaths per day.
This was, for the most part, happening before a vaccine was in place.
Between the vaccine and the summer weather (which gets people outside and out of enclosed areas where the virus can run rampant), cases declined dramatically.
As we stand right now, the recovery rate is more than 98 percent, higher for those with no underlying conditions (and this includes the large death tolls at the beginning of the pandemic).
From the reports we have read, those that have had the vaccine and still contracted the virus, even the new Delta variant, are recovering quickly with minimal symptoms or are asymptomatic.
Reports on the Delta variant have been all over the place. Most agree it is more contagious, but we now see reports that it is far less deadly than the other variants.
This may have something to do with the vaccine, as it seems to break through, but, for the most part, it is not killing the people that have been vaccinated.
That brings us up to date, with numbers again climbing, with just shy of 95,000 cases being reported on Thursday.
Here’s the thing, though… the death rate right now is under .005. You read that right, less than one-half of one percent.

People dying is obviously never good, but numbers-wise, we are talking about a minuscule number here.
Yet, masks are coming back into play, talk of forced vaccinations, and possibly shutdowns.
This brings us to Senator Cruz, who went nuclear on the CDC for ignoring hard data to push a narrative that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party want pushed.
Cruz, in part, stated, “Apparently, according to the CDC, vaccines don’t work anymore. That science thing? Inoperative.
“We got more important things to worry about, like politics … Has there ever been an institution in American public life that has more discredited itself more rapidly, than the CDC?”
Cruz later added, “The Democrats decided they want to control your lives…And my view is real simple — we shouldn’t have federal government mandates on COVID.
“That means no mask mandates, that means no vaccine mandates, that means no vaccine passports. This should be a question of individual choice.”
