There has been a lot of talk about possibly boycotting the Olympics in Beijing.
Those of us that were alive in the 80s remember the debacle when Jimmy Carter pulled our athletes out of the Moscow Olympics.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) agrees, saying that our athletes need to go over there and kick some butt.
Don’t Boycott
Biden has not really hinted that he is ready for a complete boycott of the games.
He has, however, entertained a diplomatic boycott, which is about as useless as an umbrella in a typhoon.
Regardless, Cruz is already letting it be known that if tensions between the United States and China continue, an all-out boycott should not be on the table.
Cruz stated, “I think it’s a mistake to have a full boycott of the Olympics.
“Jimmy Carter tried that in the 1970s.
“All it did was punish a generation of athletes.
“We’ve got young men and young women, Americans who spent their whole lives practicing for this moment.
“I don’t want to punish those young athletes.”
At the Winter Olympics in Beijing, we must:
1. Have the courage to call out the murder, the genocide, the torture, and the lies and the complicity in COVID-19 of the Chinese Communist government.
2. Kick their commie asses and win! pic.twitter.com/sfVu8CF5ki

When Cruz was asked about American corporations that use Chinese labor, he stated, “When China engages in horrific slave labor, companies like Nike turned a blind eye.
“When you look at the NBA – I’m a diehard hoops fan – the NBA’s reaction to China is terrible.
“They’re terrified of upsetting the Chinese communist dictators.
“They value the money so much that in fact, you know, you and I both remember when Daryl Morey, who was the general manager of the [Houston] Rockets, sent one little innocuous tweet about Hong Kong, and the NBA bent over backward groveling to the Chinese communists.”
What do you guys think? Should we even consider boycotting the Olympics?
