Cruz Says Calling January 6 a ‘Violent terrorist attack’ Was a ‘Mistake’

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has been considered a “friendly guest” on Tucker Carlson.

Cruz, however, found himself on the wrong end of a Tucker Carlson segment for characterizing the January 6 rioters as terrorists.

After Carlson went after Cruz, the Senator reached out to explain.

The question is if you buy his explanation or not.

Helping the Other Side

When Carlson did his segment, he flat-out stated that Cruz does not make mistakes like this.

He is a very purposeful person, so when Cruz used the words “domestic terrorists,” it fed right into the Democrat narrative, which is why Carlson called Cruz out.

Cruz went on to the show to try to explain.

Cruz then stated that he has characterized anyone who has gone after police as domestic terrorists for years.

He continued that he was ONLY talking about the people who went after cops, not the thousands of other people who attended the rally.

Even so, Carlson still hit Cruz back for even feeding the narrative at all…

What do you think?

Do you buy Cruz’s excuse or do you think he is just spinning now to get himself out of trouble with conservatives upset at his phrasing?

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
