Most conservatives would tell you that the Democrat Party is the key to ending racism in this country.
Democrats throw around the race card to poke the bear and regularly use minorities as their scapegoat to push extreme legislation.
The Democrat mayor of Dallas, after hearing an utterly ridiculous excuse by a white Democrat for dropping out of a race, is now calling them all out.
I Am a Little Confused
Matthew Dowd commented not so long ago that white Democrats needed to step aside to give more power to minorities.
Roughly two years ago, Dowd wrote a lengthy op-ed for ABC News, stating, “Instead of waiting for the diverse population of America to keep pushing and prodding, I would humbly suggest that we as white male Christians take it upon ourselves to step back and give more people who don’t look like us access to the levers of power.
“We as white male Christians should do what real leadership demands and practice a level of humility which demonstrates strength by stepping back from the center of the room and begin to give up our seats at the table.”
He then turned around and entered the race for Lt. Governor of Texas.
Rather than admit he was leaving the race because of his own failings, he decided to use minorities as an excuse.
He did so in an utterly insulting way, as I have often accused Democrats of being when they open their mouths and start integrating minorities into their reasoning.
We saw them do this repeatedly to justify their position on voting laws.
Well, Mayor Johnson of Dallas just called the gaslighting racism out regarding the entire party.
This started after Dowd announced that he was not going to run…
I’m confused and a little disturbed by the reasoning here. Campaigns are precisely for the purpose of selecting the BEST candidate. It seems my friend is saying that Democratic primary voters are incapable of nominating women and minorities if there is a white man on the ballot? https://t.co/9yiTJLFURw

The problem is NOT white men running for office. The problem is the 800 lb gorilla in the room, which is the racism within the Democratic Party that many pretend doesn’t exist. So the solution isn’t folks like Dowd “yielding” to candidates of color. It’s addressing the racism.💯

I am obviously not a Democrat, but I love what Mayor Johnson says here, mostly because I have been saying the same thing for years.
You don’t lower standards; you make people fight and give them a level playing field.
The insinuation by Dowd that if he were in the race that a minority could not win might as well have been said with a hood on his head.
Thankfully, someone in their own party has finally called it out for what it is… racism.
