Well, now I have seen it all.
First Avenue has canceled a Dave Chappelle show and issued an apology to fans of the venue for being ignorant to the horror that is Chappelle’s comedy.
I wish I was kidding, but this is now the world we live in.

Chappelle was scheduled to appear at First Avenue on Wednesday night.
Late in the afternoon, only hours before the show was set to go off, the venue canceled the show and put out this message…

This is all because Chappelle said that while he respects people to view themselves as they see fit, to what extent do they expect him to fall in line with that?
He, of course, was speaking about transgenders.

I had always thought that comedy was fair game unless it was way over the top, like Griffin holding up a bloody head of Trump.
I am pretty forgiving, but even I thought that was a bit over the top.
Chappelle has hardly been that extreme, simply voicing what many people are thinking.
To the point of that tweet, every time something like this happens, more and more people realize how out of control this entire situation is getting.
Nobody wants to live in this extreme of an environment, except, well, extremists.
I hate it, but if they keep it up, they are guaranteeing big changes in DC in 2022 and 2024.
