As you read this, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for a landmark case that terrifies Democrats.
Many believe if there were ever a time for Roe v. Wade to be overturned, this would be it.
In response, Democrats are creating whispers that could impact the decision.
It’s a Revolution
I can say without hesitation that the first year of the new Supreme Court bench has seen its fair share of cases influenced by the temperature outside the Court.
Several decisions were handed down where Justice Roberts seemed more worried about public perception than justice.
The same can be said for all three of Trump’s justices, who have at times made decisions completely against what conservatives were expecting.
This is upsetting only in the premise that it seemed noise outside the Court was impacting the decisions just as much, if not more, than the Constitution.
I mention all this because I believe the Democrat and liberal panic over Roe v. Wade is all for naught, but that will not prevent the pressure from being applied.
For instance, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), a known proponent of accessible abortion, has predicted a “revolution” will happen if the Court overturns the decision.
Shaheed stated, “I hope the Supreme Court is listening to the people of the United States because … I think if you want to see a revolution, go ahead, outlaw Roe v. Wade and see what the response is of the public, particularly young people.
“Because I think that will not be acceptable to young women or young men.”
She later added, “We cannot allow Republican lawmakers to turn back the clock on women’s reproductive health and rights, which is precisely what the Mississippi case seeks to do.
“It is time to sound the alarm.”

These types of threats surely impact decisions in our judiciary, even at the Supreme Court level.
Imagine being on that Court and knowing that your life will immediately be in danger if you vote to overturn this precedent.
You literally have elected officials issuing threats of a revolution… how is Shaheen’s statement any different from what Democrats have accused Trump of doing on January 6.
The kicker here, and we all know it is true, is that if Roe v. Wade were to be overturned and rioting ensued, not a single member of the Democrat Party would look at Shaheen’s comment as a driving factor.
Again, however, all these threats and all this worry are more than likely for naught.
I would all but guarantee that Justice Roberts will not overturn the decision and I would suspect that at least one of Trump’s nominees would do the same.
Roberts even stated that overturning Roe v. Wade would cause the need to reexamine hundreds of cases based on that precedent.
The Court may allow stricter abortion laws, but I do not believe it will ever outright overturn Roe v. Wade.
