Democrats Have ‘Grave Concerns’ Over Testing Shortage

It now appears that Joe Biden may have much bigger issues than just Senators Manchin (D-W.V.) and Sinema (D-AZ).

Along with those two senators, a group of senators in battleground starts are starting to get a bit vocal.

While most Dems are holding the party line that Joe Biden is doing a wonderful job, this group is calling out Biden for the lack of testing available.

Where Are the Tests?

When Joe Biden addressed the nation before Christmas, he stated that tests would be here in early January.

We all knew it was a lie, and the reporter did not even challenge Joe Biden on the delivery schedule.

As we expected, we probably won’t start to see a trickle of the testing kits until sometime in February.

Then it will probably take several months for the entire order to be fulfilled.

It is an epic fail on Biden’s part, and Democrats who know their seats will be on the line of the just stand behind Biden, no matter what, are getting antsy.

The group, which consists of Sens. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), Jon Ossoff (D-GA), and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), penned a letter to COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients demanding answers.

In part, the letter stated, “Across America, there are lines for city blocks long to get COVID testing, signs in pharmacies saying they are out of rapid tests, hospitals operating under crisis standards of care, health care staff and first responders falling ill, and millions of people who are exhausted from the toll this pandemic has had.”

The letter continued, “While we fully recognize the productive steps this Administration has taken to encourage vaccination, ensure ready access to vaccines, and increase options to treat the virus, far too many measures – such as increasing access to home-based testing – have been reactive, rather than proactive.”

Don’t forget, there was a report several weeks ago that the Biden administration turned down a plan in October to load up on testing kits for the holiday season.

The group maintains that Biden turned down the plan, while Biden says the plan was not dismissed.

But if that is the case, why were the tests not ordered last year instead of last week?

Much like most of the problems we are having in this country right now, this was avoidable.

Common sense stated that tests should have been stockpiled during the spring and summer when COVID rates were low, but I guess Joe thought he beat the virus.

With this pushback from Democrats Senators, it is yet one more black mark against Biden that will continue to hurt Democrats as we head into the election season.
