Dems Get Desperate… Oprah Reaches Out to Manchin

So far, Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) has been holding firm on the infrastructure deal and the filibuster.

I think we all expect him to fold at some point, but Democrats are trying to speed up that process.

To make that happen, Manchin’s phone has had an all-star cast of return numbers as of late.

Call in the Big Dogs

Since Joe Manchin has not caved to current Democrat leadership, the big dogs have been called in to help.

Recently, Manchin has received phone calls from former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

Both have urged him to break the filibuster so Joe can get the voting legislation passed that he wants on the books.

That must not have worked, as Manchin also reportedly received a call from Oprah Winfrey asking to break the filibuster.

Since Manchin has been holding out, his approval rating has soared in West Virginia, and that is the key to all of this.

You see, Manchin does not answer to me, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and he surely does not answer to Oprah Winfrey.

Manchin answers to the people of West Virginia and only the people of West Virginia.

Right now, they have made it quite clear they do not want that filibuster broken, nor do they approve of the wasteful spending by this administration.

If Manchin caves, he loses those votes and based on his current lifestyle, I think Joe would like to keep that government check coming in so he can continue to fill that yacht up with gas.

Hold firm, Joe, especially on the filibuster.

If you flip, you better believe you are opening the door for a Republican to steal that seat right away from you.

Do you think Manchin will hold firm or do you think he will eventually crack?

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
