This week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments both for and against the Mississippi abortion law restricting abortions to the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The questions asked by conservative justices have Democrats in panic mode.
To that point, there are now renewed whispers for Joe Biden to pack the court.
We Didn’t Get Our Way
To be very clear, the Mississippi abortion law does NOT overturn Roe v. Wade.
That, however, is exactly how Democrats are portraying it.
They would prefer to have access to abortions right up to the moment of delivery, so anything less is considered a Roe violation.
In reality, most countries around the world have similar restrictions in place, with 12 weeks being the norm…
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is now leading the charge to pack the court, stating, “A ‘conservative’ court would uphold precedent.
“But a ‘partisan’ court may not — and this may be the most partisan court in history.
“We must protect a woman’s right to choose.”
Senator Smith (D-MN) also chimed in via Twitter…
I worked at Planned Parenthood and know what this would mean for women. If the Court takes this action, led by Republican justices, it’s impossible to argue they are not partisan. #ExpandTheCourt

Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) is another member of the Democrat Party hoping to pack the court…
Thanks to Republican court packing, our Supreme Court has been manipulated to protect GOP political goals, not our Constitution.
From bodily autonomy to voting rights, there's only one solution: we need to pass the Judiciary Act to #ExpandTheCourt and restore fairness pic.twitter.com/7XokVSdRdM

Their statements are beyond misleading, however.
In reality, this court has repeatedly shown that the conservative justices appointed by Trump as well as Chief Justice Roberts are willing to walk across the aisle.
The same cannot be said by the liberal justices on the bench.
This is actually the fairest court we have seen in some time, and I say that not agreeing with every decision they have handed down.
The irony in all of this is that the very thing Democrats are railing against is exactly what they hope to achieve by expanding the court.
They want to add at least four hardcore liberal justices to ensure every decision falls their way, which is politically manipulating the Supreme Court, yet the media seems to ignore this angle when it reports on this story.
I can live with whatever decision the court reaches on this case, and I say that having no inclination which way the court is leaning right now.
Few, if any, Democrats and liberals are willing to make that very same statement.
