DeSantis: Disney Crossed the Line

The war between Governor Ron DeSantis and Disney continues.

DeSantis is not taking kindly to Disney’s open discontent over his parental rights legislation.

Now DeSantis is calling Disney out in a big way.

Don’t Say Gay

On the new legislation, Disney released a statement that, in part, read, “Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law.

“Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that.

“We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

The fact that Disney even referred to the legislation as “Don’t Say Gay” bill tells you how far to the left corporate leadership has lurched.

DeSantis slammed Disney for its “fundamentally dishonest” statement that “crossed the line.”

This stance will hurt Disney in more ways than one, but the biggest will be its bottom line.

With company executives now promising to stack up the roster with LGBTQ+ characters in coming years, more and more parents are becoming outraged that Disney now appears to be in the grooming business rather than the entertainment business.

This, of course, does not even consider that legislators are now considering removing protections that Disney has enjoyed from the state for more than five decades.
