DeSantis Signs Parental Rights Bill into Law

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis believes that parents should be the ones to talk to their children about sexual orientation.

He does not believe that this subject should be on the school curriculum.

To ensure that does not happen, he just signed a parental rights bill into law, and liberals are losing their minds.

Take That

This is the ultimate middle finger to the left by DeSantis.

Democrats and the media have taken to calling this legislation the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

I would say they have not read it… at all.

The bill does not prevent teachers from having casual conversations with children on this subject.

It does, however, prevent this from being an item on the curriculum where liberal teachers can ram their woke ideology down an impressionable child’s throat.

The bill states, “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

Upon signing the bill into law, DeSantis stated, “This is inappropriate for kindergarteners and first graders and second graders.

“Parents do not want this going on in their schools.”

This is one of several education-related subjects that flipped the governor’s mansion in Virginia from blue to red.

Some parents may prefer teachers to have these discussions, but that is their choice, not the school’s.

Liberals, as expected, went off the rails, which included the Oscars on Sunday night.

Comedian Wanda Sykes, who is gay, stated, “We’re going to have a great night tonight.

“And for you people in Florida, we’re going to have a gay night.”

Do your thing, Wanda, just keep the children out of it.

After the Academy Awards aired, DeSantis did not back down.

On Monday, he stated, “I don’t care what corporate media outlets say, I don’t care what Hollywood says, I don’t care what big corporations say.

“Here I stand. I’m not backing down.”

Rock on, Governor!
