GOP Says Documents Prove Secretary Mayorkas Lied

It would appear that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas has not exactly been forthright during testimony.

Senators Hawley (R-MO) and Grassley (R-IA) recently released documents that could be a problem for Mayorkas moving forward.

If the documents are accurate, Mayorkas was lying both under oath and regularly to the American people.

Mayorkas repeatedly claimed that the Disinformation Governance Board was a product of the Trump administration.

He further stated that it was meant to monitor the conduct of foreign actors.

The documents possessed by the two Republican Senators show that the board was actually going to monitor “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections,” “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks,” and “falsehoods surrounding U.S. government immigration policy.”

Furthermore, the document does not limit the scope to foreign actors, only stating that the information “must not be politicized.”

Mayorkas also met with social media executives to “become involved in Disinformation Governance Board Analytic Exchanges.”

Translation… Mayorkas was going to be spying on the American people.

During a recent Fox News appearance, Hawley expanded, stating, “This administration wanted you to be monitored.

“This Disinformation Board was set up to go after you. That’s what the documents say.”

“This idea, that the government is going to stand up an institution that’s going to monitor Americans’ speech, that’s going to treat Americans’ political speech, Tucker, core political speech, as something that needs to be monitored, that needs to be countered.

“This was going to be a state propaganda machine. This board was supposed to push out counter-information to Americans.”

I don’t know about you folks, but this sure looks like an impeachable offense to me.

I cannot wait until the GOP gets ahold of Congress and holds this clown accountable.
