This weekend, Glenn Youngkin was sworn in as the new governor of Virginia.
He took the bull by the horns right out of the gate.
Youngkin issued numerous executive orders on his first day, including ending the mask mandate in the state.
Open Her Up!
A big part of Youngkin’s campaign was education and how children were being subject to wearing masks in schools.
With studies showing minimal benefit in regard to COVID for cloth masks as well as the detrimental effect masks were having on children mentally, Youngkin delivered on one key promise right away.
Youngkin ended the mask mandate in the state, a move that was very well received by parents.
A Loudoun County parent, Rachel Pisani, stated, “I think it’s incredible.
“I think this is just an example to the rest of the country that parents’ voices make a difference in their children’s lives, and Glenn Youngkin is delivering on promises that he gave throughout his campaign and on day one, he kept them.”
Another order signed by Youngin blocked CRT from being taught in schools.
Pisani added, “This isn’t how we raise our children.
“We should teach them history.
“We should teach them math.
“We should teach them all of the education that a public school should give our children without indoctrinating them with socialist theories.”
She added, “It’s just another form of our government trying to get us to depend on them and trying to get us to not think for ourselves and listen to their opinions and make mandates based on recommendations that aren’t accurate.”
Youngkin is only two days into his term, but it sounds like he is off to a very quick and great start.
Keep it going, Governor Youngkin… make us proud!
