Judicial Watch has uncovered more documents via the Freedom of Information Act.

The documents show a possible relationship between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the United States planning joint research.

The communications should have Dr. Fauci back in the hot seat again very soon.

Explain This, Please

Gray Handley, associate director of the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases, had forwarded the information to colleagues to get the ball rolling.

The document stated, “China’s Interest in the Global Virome Project Presents an Opportunity for Global Health Cooperation.”

The summary of the project stated, “U.S.-China collaboration on the Global Virome Project is an opportunity to lead innovation in science, collaborate with China, and potentially contribute to scientific breakthroughs.”

Part of the training offered by the United States to Chinese researchers would result in “pandemic preparedness” and “enable rapid detection” of viruses to prevent outbreaks.

The project packet stated, “While U.S.-based NGOs and academics are likely to provide some leadership for the GVP, it will be important for the USG [U.S. government] to remain engaged in significant ways with the GVP, to ensure that U.S. interests are adequately reflected in this effort, which will facilitate the development of countermeasures against future threats (pandemic preparedness), and enable rapid detection of viral threats and increase the capacity to handle them.”

The State Department was also included in the email exchange.

The documents also show that the United States had been training Wuhan researchers.

This not only brings Dr. Fauci back into the conversation, but it could also implicate Rex Tillerson, who served as Secretary of State before Mike Pompeo.

If I understand the timeline correctly, all of this communication occurred prior to Pompeo taking over the position.

Regardless, this needs to be fully explained by Dr. Fauci, under oath, on the hill.
