Last week, the big story was that Dr. Anthony Fauci said that he would be retiring before the end of Joe Biden’s terms.
He knows Republicans are coming after him and he openly admitted they are less likely to do so if he is no longer in his position.
The retirement news blew up online, but Fauci is now telling everyone to pump the brakes.
Retiring, Not Retiring
When Fauci was asked about retiring, he clarified, “I’m not going to retire.
“No, no, I’m not going to retire.
“I may step down from my current position at some time.”
He added, “I said a very innocent but true thing.
“I said whether it’s Donald Trump or it’s Joe Biden’s second term, I don’t intend to be in my current position in January of 2025.”
When Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) saw the statement, he was delighted.
He took to Twitter to welcome the news.
He also stated that he looked forward to starting an investigation to expose Fauci’s role in helping to cover up the possible leak from the Wuhan lab, where many now believe COVID originated.
I look forward to Paul’s “gotcha” moment with Fauci.
