How many times did Dr. Fauci say they never suspected any gain-of-function research was taking place in Wuhan?
Let me play a little bit of Devils’ Advocate here, too… remember when Fauci predicted there would be a pandemic during Trump’s presidency?
Digest both of those, then wait till you see what emails from Fauci staffers said.

In May 2016, two staffers raised some red flags regarding funded research at the now infamous Wuhan lab.
However, the concerns were dropped when EcoHealth Alliance stepped in and said there was nothing to worry about, the same organization recently called out in a letter for misleading about gain-of-function research.
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) staffers Jenny Greer and Erik Stemmy sent a letter to EcoHealth on May 28, 2016, raising red flags about research that “may include” gain-of-function.
EcoHealth President Peter Daszak made the “determination” that was not the case.
Rutgers University Professor Richard Ebright believes these communications now prove that Fauci was “untruthful in his testimony to Congress.”
He added, “The NIH, incredibly, accepted EcoHealth’s belief that this work would not be considered gain of function, and accepted EcoHealth’s rationale for this belief, and accepted EcoHealth’s policy-noncompliant proposal for a [10 times] allowance for increased viral growth before stopping work and reporting results.
“The NIH, in effect, delegated to EcoHealth Alliance the authority to determine whether its research was, or was not gain of function research subject to the funding pause, the authority to set criteria for the determination, and the authority to over-ride federal policies implemented by the White House in 2014-2017 and by HHS in 2017-present.”
It was like asking a thief with a stolen TV in their hands if the TV was stolen… what do you think they would say?
Another strike against Daszak’s determination that the lab-made viruses “has never been demonstrated to infect humans or cause human disease,” which was debunked in a study published by his collaborator, Ralph Baric.
Baric was part of a study conducted in March 2016 that found an “ongoing threat” of the W1V1 to humans because it “readily replicated efficiently in human airway cultures and in vivo, suggesting capability of direct transmission to humans.”
While testifying before Congress, Fauci stated, “I do not have any accounting of what the Chinese may have done, and I am fully in favor of any further investigation of what went on in China.
“However, I will repeat again, the NIH and NIAID categorically has not funded gain-of-function research to be conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
That is now clearly a lie. He knew what they were doing because his staffers challenged the research as gain-of-function in correspondence he had to be aware of as the boss.
Fauci lied, period, and he must be held accountable.
I, for one, cannot wait for Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) to get this report and break it down because I am sure he will have something very interesting to say about Fauci.
