Democrats are working hard to make domestic travel a bit more difficult for Americans.
An effort is being led by Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) that would make proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test mandatory for domestic travel.
Feinstein is joined in her effort by Reps. Swalwell (D-CA), Beyer (D-VA), and Torres (D-N.Y.).
Testing Before Flying
The group recently penned a letter to the CDC Director and the FAA Administrator imploring a domestic vaccine passport program.
It read, “We urge you to implement new requirements for airline passengers to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to board a domestic flight.”
It continued, “International travelers arriving in the United States must already submit COVID-19-related documentation to airlines before boarding their flight, and airlines are demonstrating they have the capacity to implement these vaccine and testing requirements.
“For example, Delta Airlines and American Airlines have adopted their FlyReady and VeriFLY verification systems, and United Airlines has introduced similar requirements.
“CDC has also already published guidance on what types of COVID-10 tests and proof of COVID-19 vaccination are acceptable for this process.”

Currently, anyone flying into the country from outside the United States is required to produce a negative COVID test 24 hours before their flight.
Several other nations have put like programs in place as well.
Due to the Omicron surge here in the United States, Israel has banned its residents from traveling to the United States.
The surge has also led to the NHL pausing its season for five days.
The league announced on Monday night that after Tuesday’s game, the league would not resume games until December 27.
As we had warned, the surge of Omicron is giving Democrats the excuse they need to drop the hammer on Americans again, and I expect them to take full advantage of it.
This is just the beginning of the power grab… of that, I am sure.
