Governor DeSantis, you have been served.
Andrew Warren, who was Hillsborough County State Attorney, is suing the governor for being suspended by executive order earlier this year.
Warren believes that his First Amendment rights are being violated as the basis of the case.

Warren was suspended because he openly said he would not enforce the law.
He was not going to prosecute abortion cases or transgender transition cases.
DeSantis’ office was having none of it, responding to the suit, stating, “It’s not surprising Warren, who was suspended for refusing to follow the law, would file a legally baseless lawsuit challenging his suspension.
“We look forward to responding in court.”
Warren’s attorney Jean-Jacques Cabou responded, “The First Amendment protects the right of elected officials to speak out on matters of public controversy, and in fact, it does so because it’s so important that the voters who choose these elected officials know where they stand on these issues.”
That is a twisting of the facts at the very least.
This was not about Warren speaking out; this was, however, about Warren openly admitting that he would not prosecute particular crimes under Florida law.
