During the impeachment hearings, testimony that was given by Democrat witnesses was about as damaging as it gets against Trump.
Was it believable, though?
For many of us, it seemed like there were far more people with agendas than facts, and Fiona Hill would fit that bill, especially with what she had to say during a recent interview with The Daily Beast.
They Had Nothing
Hill clearly has issues with Trump, but that is not the worst of the take from her interview.
It seems that she was making assumptions that she is hardly qualified to make.
She tried to get into the head of Putin and Trump, which clearly colored her statements during the impeachment.
Hill knew the Russians had nothing on Trump, but then she stated, “What Putin had on Trump is what everybody else had—recognition of his extreme vulnerability to manipulation.”
She then accused Trump of “autocrat envy,” stating that Trump was “a counter-intelligence and national security risk because he was so vulnerable to manipulation based on the fragility of his ego.”
She added, “Anyone could induce him to do something by raising the specter of someone insulting him—or by praising him. His ideology was idolatry.”
These are pretty staggering statements, especially when you pair this up with her testimony during the impeachment.
Now we just have to sit back and wait to hear what Trump says about this because you know he and his team are breaking down every word of that Daily Beast article, and the venom will surely follow.
