A witness who saw the carjacking take place described a brutal death for Frickey.
He stated, “I got out of my vehicle screaming ‘stop stop you are dragging someone.’ He took off with the vehicle. Still dragging her. Reckless. No care for human beings at all.”

The suspects are reportedly all teenagers: 17-year-old male, 16-year-old female, and two 15-year-old-females.
New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Shaun Ferguson stated it was actually the parents who came forward to help apprehend the suspects.
He stated, “Within an hour after the first video release, we had parents at our police station.”
Frickey’s sister-in-law, Kathy Richard, stated, “It is disgusting.
“When is it going to stop? That is what they target? Old ladies.
“It is cowardly. It’s evil. The parents need to be held accountable.”
It is unlikely the parents will be held accountable, but at least they did the right thing and identified them to the police.
