Vladimir Putin is starting to feel pretty lonely in his war against Ukraine.
Another major player has decided to dip its toes into this war.
After staying neutral, at least, for the most part, Germany is now getting some skin into the game by authorizing tanks for Ukraine.
All In
Early Tuesday, Germany gave the thumbs up for anti-aircraft tanks to be sold to Ukraine.
German leaders have blocked this sale for months, but pressure from NATO has finally succeeded.
German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht was to have announced the deal during a NATO meeting in Germany at the US Ramstein Air Base.
This is a massive coup for Ukraine, as it is again bolstering its defense against air attacks by Russia.
Somehow, even with little air defense, Russia has failed to win the skies.
With Ukraine now about to have tanks and an air defense system, it is hard to imagine Russia being able to win this war on the ground.
Two months ago, those words would have drawn fits of laughter.
Today, it seems evident that Russia’s ground forces are hardly the threat anyone perceived them to be before this invasion started.
