Capitol Fence Going Back Up for Biden State of the Union Address

House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) is creating some drama again.

The fencing that was put up around the Capitol has been ordered back up.

Pelosi appears to be worried about the threat of a “Freedom Convoy” coming to D.C. in protest.

Put Up the Fence

Joe Biden is scheduled to give his first State of the Union address on March 1.

For weeks, truckers have been protesting vaccine mandates in Canada.

They are now reportedly getting ready to head to D.C. to lock down the city in protest.

Canadian PM Trudeau has activated emergency powers in Canada to break up the protest.

However, even after clearing protesters, he has decided to keep those powers in play.

The protest in Canada was entirely peaceful, but that is not stopping Pelosi and the Capitol Police from putting the Capitol on lockdown again.

The Capitol Police stated, “The United States Capitol Police and the United States Secret Service have been closely working together to plan for the upcoming State of the Union.

“Law enforcement agencies across the National Capital Region are aware of plans for a series of truck convoys arriving in Washington, D.C., around the time of the State of the Union.

“As with any demonstration, the USCP will facilitate lawful First Amendment activity.”

The move has already drawn the fire of Republicans on the Hill, claiming that Pelosi is now politicizing Capitol security.

When liberal protests were announced, the fencing stayed down.

This protest has been associated with conservatives, so, once again, the rules change in the middle of the game for sensationalism.

Do you think the fencing should be put back up or do you agree that Pelosi ordered this for political reasons?
