One of the biggest knocks I have alerted people to regarding Biden’s SCOTUS nominee Judge Jackson is the staggering number of rulings that have been overturned.
Generally speaking, this is a sign of a judge inserting ideology into the law.
Senator Graham (R-S.C.) picked up on this and went after Jackson on this very front.
Activist or Jurist
Graham basically called Jackson an activist on the bench.
He stated, “Here’s what the D.C. Circuit Court said about your ruling: ‘There could hardly be a more definitive expression of congressional intent to leave the decision about the scope of expedited removal, within statutory bounds, to the Secretary’s independent judgment.’
“To those of us in the law-writing business, I don’t know how you could tell a judge more clearly that the administration, the agency in question, has discretion to do certain things within the statute.
“So, this is an example to me – and you may not agree — where the plain language of the statute was completely wiped out by you.”
He continued, “You reached a conclusion because you disagree with the Trump administration.”
Graham concluded, “That, to me, is Exhibit A of activism.”
Jackson tried to justify her ruling in her response, but there is no doubt that this woman has incorporated her political ideology into her rulings.
This was an appointment made to pacify the far left, and she will be utterly dangerous on the Supreme Court.
Considering the cases that will be upcoming for the court, especially when it comes to hard-left issues, we simply cannot afford, as a country, for her to be seated on that bench.
