Kamala Harris may have actually gotten something right.
Number Two has broken from Biden in placing blame for the pandemic.
While Biden paints a gloom and doom picture against the unvaccinated, Harris, wisely, is now taking a different approach and breaking from Biden’s narrative.
Did She Actually Get Something Right?
People do not like being told they are wrong for doing something they believe in.
That, however, is exactly how Biden has framed this pandemic.
If you are not vaccinated, you are the enemy of the people, period.
Biden even went so far as to predict a winter of death for the unvaccinated, not exactly the words you would expect from the occupant of the Oval Office.
Harris decided to take a bit of a softer tone, actually sounding like a human being for once.
When directly asked if the pandemic was the fault of the unvaccinated, she stated, “I don’t think this is a moment to talk about fault.
“It is no one’s fault this virus hit our shores or hit the world, but it is more about individual power and responsibility and it’s about the decisions that everyone has the choice to make, no doubt.
“We have the power today to go out and if you’ve not been boosted, go get boosted.
“The power today to go and get vaccinated. And that will have an impact on where we end up tomorrow.”
Here is the thing, though…
Harris and her fellow Democrats made the early days of the pandemic all about Trump, and those words cannot be taken back.
While she is taking a softer stance now, that is only because this administration, with the benefit of a vaccine, has had more deaths since taking office than Trump had while he was in office.
If they insisted that Trump botched his response to the pandemic, how can we describe what has happened since Biden took over?
This is a great effort to deflect by Kamala, possibly the best thing she has said since the campaign started, but they laid the groundwork on this already, so she does not get to switch gears until she eats her words during the election season.
