Well, that did not take long.
It took about 48 hours for Kamala Harris to backtrack on the definite nature of Joe Biden’s plans for 2024.
On Monday, she made a make no bones about it declaration.
On Wednesday, she made another statement to clarify what she really meant to say.
Circle back, walk back, reversal… whatever you want to call it, this administration is setting some type of record on that front.
While interviewing with Dana Bash on Monday, Harris stated, “Joe Biden is running for re-election and I will be his ticket-mate.”
The idiotic smirk on her face told us that she really did not believe what she was saying.
Our gut was right, as about 48 hours later, Harris made a different statement.
Joe Biden’s right hand stated, “The president intends to run and if he does, I will be his ticket-mate.
“We will run together.”
Erin Logan of the Los Angeles Times added, “The White House said [Harris] wanted to clarify comments she made on CNN a few days ago.”
I would imagine that clarification by Harris will only aggravate Joe further.
Reports broke this week that he was getting irked by Democrat speculation that he would not seek a second term.
He was also reportedly upset about the lack of support he is getting from his fellow Democrats during this election cycle.
From my perspective, it would seem that Kamala just poured a little more gasoline on that fire.
