Kamala Harris has been such a failure, the Democrats most impacted by those failures are now saying “Enough!”
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) has been very open about his displeasure regarding Biden’s border policies, but now he is really going off.
Cuellar now wants the administration to “move on” from Harris as the official border czar for Joe Biden.
Time to Move On
It takes an awful lot for party members to lose faith in an administration in less than a year, but that is exactly what has happened here.
Cuellar is directly impacted by the actions, or should I say lack of action, of this administration at the border.
He tried to hold his tongue, but it gets tougher and tougher when your constituents are blowing up your phone lines every day to complain about the problems at the border that directly affect their homes, businesses, and community.
To that point, Cuellar stated that he is officially done with Harris.
The Texas Democrat stated, “I’ve moved on from the vice president to say, ‘OK, let’s work with the ambassadors and let’s work with the State Department. Let’s work with the Homeland Secretary.'”
He continued, “I think that’s the way to address it, but I know that the media has put a lot of focus on the vice president, but with all due respect, she was given that title.
“I don’t think she’s, with all due respect, put the effort in there… We’ve got to look at other folks that have the expertise on that.”
Considering the horrific polling that Harris has been receiving, his comments are dead on, but they will surely not be received well by anyone in the administration.
It will be very interesting to see how the media reacts, however, as they have tagged criticism from the right as both sexist and racist.
Would they dare go there with Cuellar, a member of their party and a minority at that?
Also, keep in mind that Cuellar is also fighting for his political life, so he needs to be as honest as possible heading into the 2022 election cycle.
He would surely lose his seat if he dared to pretend everything is just fine in his neck of the woods.
