Michael Avenatti has received his prison sentence.
Four. Long. Years.
Avenatti was found guilty of defrauding pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels out of nearly $300,000.
The money that Avenatti stole allegedly came from Stormy’s tell-all book about her supposed affair with Donald Trump.
Being sentenced to jail is nothing new for Avenatti.
In 2021 he was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for “attempting to extort Nike for up to $25 million.”
Avenatti pretended to understand the consequences of his actions:
“I alone have destroyed my career, my relationships and my life. And there is no doubt I need to pay.”
In the trial that found him guilty of defrauding Daniels, Avenatti made the noteworthy decision to defend himself.
The disgraced lawyer wasn’t able to get the job done.
Quite a fall from grace for somebody who was once considered a legitimate contender for the presidency.

Avenatti blamed his family for keeping him from running.
