Sometimes, there is a little joy in our day.
Today, that comes courtesy of a verdict handed down in the Michael Avenatti fraud case.
Reports broke earlier today that Avenatti is headed to the pokey for four years.

Avenatti cheated his client., Stormy Daniels, out of $300,000 in royalties.
As you probably recall, Daniels was in a war with Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle and beyond.
Daniels claimed they had an affair, but nothing ever came of those claims.
Her attorney in the case, however, started pocketing money that belonged to Daniels.
Earlier this year, he was convicted of identity and wire fraud.
Today, the sentence was announced, and he has been sentenced to a total of four years, with 18 months of the sentence for one of the charges being served concurrently with the sentence that was handed down in the Nike extortion case.
Avenatti, after months of denying he did nothing wrong, tried to play nice by acknowledging his mistakes and apologizing to Stormy, but the judge wanted to hear none of it, telling him it was “too little, too late.”
Keep in mind, this is the clown all the mainstream media outlets held up as a hero, with some even pitching the idea of him running for president against Trump.
As it turns out, he was nothing but a scam artist the entire time.
Avenatti’s troubles are not even close to being over, either, as he has yet another case looming where he was accused of stealing $10 million from clients.
