There has been some concern expressed about the support Herschel Walker would receive as a Senate candidate.
There are definitely a few skeletons in his closet that had GOP officials worried, but they can start to temper those fears.
If fundraising is any indication, Walker should be a dominant force in Georgia’s midterm elections.
Big Haul
Walker already has the endorsement of Trump, which surely helped open up some pocketbooks.
In his first month, Walker has raised $3.7 million, which is a pace of about $100,000 per day.
Walker recently addressed what the support of Trump means to him in this race…
Walker is the clear favorite in the GOP primary now, but the party is worried how some events of his past could hurt him during the general election.
The positive news on that front is that Senator Warnock (D-GA) has issues of his own on the domestic front, so his campaign is unlikely to throw stones in that direction.
However, that will not stop the PACs supporting him from going into attack mode on this front.
Even so, with such a disastrous first year in office, Walker should be able to defeat Warnock and take back one of the two Georgia Senate seats lost during the 2020 election.
