Hillary Clinton has finally broken her silence on the Durham probe filing.
Her response was about as we expected.
Hillary is accusing Donald Trump and Fox News of “desperately spinning up a fake scandal to distract from his real ones.”
Keep in mind, this is the same woman that sat before congressional committees and lied her face off regarding Benghazi.
The Bombshell
Sadly, the only news agency that covered the most recent Durham filing was Fox News.
It literally received zero airtime on all other mainstream media outlets.
Bret Baier, who I would consider one of the most respectable anchors in the business, called this a huge deal, so I will take his word over Hillary’s.
I have already seen some twists on this trying to help Hillary, but the filing seems pretty clear that Hillary’s team was behind this infiltration of Trump Towers and possibly even the White House when Trump was in office.
Hillary had avoided addressing the situation, but she finally cracked on Twitter on Wednesday…

Hillary was referencing a “Vanity Fair” article in her defense, which I read.
As noted above, that article does some twisting of the actual information, as I don’t believe the author actually understood the filing, which specifically states that attorney Michael Sussmann “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”
It goes on to say that Sussman “repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations.”
Sussmann’s attorneys have filed to have the filing removed, stating, “Unfortunately, the Special Counsel has done more than simply file a document identifying potential conflicts of interest.
“Rather, the Special Counsel has again made a filing in this case that unnecessarily includes prejudicial—and false—allegations that are irrelevant to his Motion and to the charged offense, and are plainly intended to politicize this case, inflame media coverage, and taint the jury pool.”
They concluded, “Sadly, the Special Counsel seems to be succeeding in his effort to instigate unfair and prejudicial media coverage of Mr. Sussmann’s case.”
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out if and when this goes to court.
Durham has always had a reputation as someone that goes through painstaking measures to ensure every detail is correct, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt here.
If he is right, I would suspect that Hillary will be facing an indictment at some point.
If he is wrong, Fox News and every one of us that reported on this will become an instant laughingstock.
Let’s hope Durham nailed it.
