Ukrainian Defense Official: Chechen Hit Squad Eliminated

Several days ago, it was revealed that an elite group of Chechen commandos had been inserted into Ukraine some time ago.

The mission was reportedly to eliminate President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The force was allegedly inserted into Ukraine before the invasion started as a way for Putin to deflect blame for the assassination if they were able to carry out the hit.

According to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, that force is no longer a threat.

They Have Been Eliminated

According to Danilov, the threat was exposed via a leaked intelligence report.

Danilov stated, “The special operation that was to be carried out directly by the Kadyrovites to eliminate our president is fully known to us today, and I can say that we received information from representatives of the FSB, who today have no desire to take part in this bloody war.”

The tip was given to Ukraine reportedly surfaced from the Russian Federal Security Service.

Danilov added, “They were divided in two groups, we were tracking them.

“One group was handled near Hostomel [northwest of Kyiv], the other one is in our sights.”

The fact that Zelensky was targeted surprised nobody, including Zelensky, who openly stated that he was the number one target of Putin right now.

If these forces have neutralized, as Danilov claims, it is yet another staggering blow to Putin’s mission.

This could also stir up more desperation on the part of the Russian president in a war that is clearly not going as planned.
