Joe Biden’s DOJ got a bit of a surprising rebuke this week.
The ACLU, an organization that generally walks on the left side of the line, hit the DOJ over the recent raids against Project Veritas and James O’Keefe.
The organization stated the raids could have “serious consequences” to the freedom of the press.

Even though the ACLU slapped the DOJ, it also took its shot at Project Veritas.
The statement read, “Project Veritas has engaged in disgraceful deceptions, and reasonable observers might not consider their activities to be journalism at all.
“Nevertheless, the precedent set in this case could have serious consequences for press freedom.
“Unless the government had good reason to believe that Project Veritas employees were directly involved in the criminal theft of the diary, it should not have subjected them to invasive searches and seizures.
“We urge the court to appoint a special master to ensure that law enforcement officers review only those materials that were lawfully seized and that are directly relevant to a legitimate criminal investigation.”
It was an easy guess that the ACLU is not in line with PV’s type of reporting, but the hit was just way off base.
What O’Keefe and PV do is no different from any undercover investigation unit other than O’Keefe targets only the left.
If he was undertaking these investigations against the right, believe me, the ACLU would have no problem with his work.
Regardless, it is nice to see these organizations step up and bring attention to a DOJ we all know is completely out of control at this point.
