In today’s episode of “Rules for Thee, but Not for Me,” we feature Joe Biden and his wife, Jill.
The Biden’s headed out for a posh dinner at Fiola Mare on Saturday night.
Even though Biden has supported mask mandates indoors (even for the vaccinated) and there is an indoor mask mandate in place in DC, Joe and Jill waved happily to onlookers as they paraded through the restaurant and out the doors sans mask.
I Do What I Want
After attending Saturday evening services, the Biden’s decided to treat themselves to some Italian.
Now that he lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Joe likes to treat himself to the finer things in like.
Fiola Mare is about as pricey as it gets, with pre-fixe menus over $200 and pasta entrees selling for more than $40.
I digress, however, as this is about Joe flaunting the rules once again.
DC Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser has put an indoor mask mandate in place, which includes restaurants.
The only exception is when someone is eating or drinking at their table.
On the restaurant website, it even posts the restriction, stating, “Per CDC guidance and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s executive order, all individuals over age 2 are required to wear a mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must be always worn while in our restaurants, except while eating and drinking. Thank you for understanding.”
The Bidens, however, were seen walking through the restaurant, sans mask, and now the video is blowing up as the commander-in-chief is clearly breaking the mandate…
Every American deserves an answer from @JoeBiden directly explaining why he thinks is allowed to break rules that he demands others to follow.

So, here is the funny thing about Bowser’s mandate.
She actually tries to exclude government officials from the restriction.
The mandate states, “the enforcement provisions of this Order shall not be applied to persons in the federal government or legislative branch of the District government while those persons are on duty.”
Regardless of the exemption, we would expect Joe and Jill Biden to set the example, not thumb their noses at the common American citizen.
Perhaps some magic dust surrounds government employees when they are on duty which prevents them from contracting or spreading COVID during working hours, something we will have to clarify with the Mayor’s office.
The restaurant, Mayor Bowser’s office, nor the White House have answered requests for comments on the report.
