So, for the last few days, all we have heard from the Biden administration was how they did not see this new surge coming.

Several health officials, however, have offered up conflicting stories.

Now, a report has surfaced that a plan for boosted COVID testing was offered up to the White House, but it was dismissed.

Hubris Fails Again

In the back of my head, I cannot help but think that Biden thought that if he gave into this plan, he would be admitting defeat.

After all, at the time, the country was in a great place and COVID cases were shrinking around the country.

Even though that was happening, most of us realized that once our regular flu season hit, we would see another surge.

I cannot even count how many times I have predicted this, calling COVID the new flu on steroids.

According to the new report, Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Rockefeller Foundation, the COVID Collaborative, and several other organizations sent White House officials a 10-page plan, in part, recommending the production of 732 million COVID tests PER MONTH.

Several days after the plan was presented to the White House, the administration dismissed the plan.

One official stated, “We did not have capacity to manufacture over-the-counter tests at that scale.”

That is curious because didn’t Joe Biden tell the American people that after the New Year, we were going to get 500 million kits that would be available free of charge to those who wanted them?

Dr. Michael Mina, who attended the meeting, stated that the administration “didn’t support the notion of testing as a proper mitigation tool.”

He further added that the administration deprioritized the need for testing to push the vaccination program.

Mina added, “We have to admit at every level of government that vaccines are not the end of this.”

This goes completely against everything the White House has been putting out as of late, proving once again that Joe Biden cannot be trusted.

The plan was there, in their hands, and they ignored it.

I cannot wait for Republicans to get control of Congress so this entire mess can be properly investigated and Biden held accountable.
