There is nothing better than seeing someone get called out in person for something they said online about the individual questioning them.
What is even better is watching them squirm and lie, especially when nobody in the room believes a word they are saying.
That is exactly what happened when Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) got his shot at Biden’s nominee for Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, Deborah Lipstadt.
Where Is the Love?
If you are going to have that title, one would think you are looking to seek out actual hate, not take shots for political gain.
Lipstadt did just that, however, probably thinking she would never actually have to face down Senator Johnson… let alone him having a role in her fate.
When January 6 rioters were being held to a different standard than the rioters that plagued this country for more than a year, Johnson said he would have been “a little concerned” had ANTIFA and BLM rioters stormed the Capitol.
Somehow, that tweet made him a racist in Lipstadt’s eyes…
This is white supremacy/nationalism. Pure and simple. GOP Senator Johnson slammed as 'white nationalist sympathizer' after race remarks https://t.co/9vaBQsqK7J

Johnson came out firing against her while she was in committee, stating, “It was interesting to hear Senator Schumer talk about the malicious poison and what’s happening on social media so often it’s just malicious.
“And this comes as I think you said in your opening statement from across the political spectrum.
“Let me ask you a question, if somebody came up to you privately, quietly, and said ‘you’re a racist. You’re a white supremacist. You’re a white nationalist.'”
He continued, “By the way, I do not believe you are, I would never assume that because certainly growing up when I was being taught the commandment that says, ‘Do not bear false witness,’ my Lutheran catechism says, ‘always put the best construction on things.’
“In other words, always assume the best about people, not the worst. So, how would you feel [if] somebody, just privately, called you a racist?”
She tried to work her way out of it, just as we have seen other nominees when getting called out, but there is no mistaking the purpose of her words.
Johnson made that exact point when he came right back at her, stating, “But that’s not true.
“What you just testified there is false. Because not only did you go on—first of all, you don’t know me. You don’t know a lot of the people that you have accused online in front of millions of people.
“You have engaged in the malicious poison. You’ve accused people you don’t know, a very vile thing. I mean wouldn’t you agree that probably calling somebody a racist is just a shot under murderer and rapist.
“Calling somebody a racist is about as serious and vile an accusation as you can hurt over something against somebody you don’t even know. You’ve never talked to me. You’ve never met me. You don’t know what’s in my heart, do you?”
Lipstadt replied, “No, I do not know what’s in your heart at all… As I said earlier, it was not nuanced.”
That is complete and utter nonsense. It was not nuanced, as she claims.
Her comments were purposeful to the point she was trying to make Johnson a target.
She continued, “I would not do diplomacy by tweet. While I may disagree with what you said specifically and I think that’s a legitimate difference, I certainly did not mean it and I’m sorry if I made it in a way that it could be assumed to be political at the person personally.”
Here is the full exchange…
This woman is filled with hate, just like most Democrats these days.
They continue to cry racism at every turn, hoping to create more divide so they can pander to minority voters.
She is a disgusting excuse for a human being and I cannot think of anyone less worthy to fill this role than Lipstadt.
Do you think she should be disqualified because of her hateful tweet?
