Judge Acquits January 6 Defendant

In one of the January 6 cases, a decision has come down that will send a shockwave through this country.

More specifically, it will send a shockwave through the Democrat Party.

A federal judge has acquitted one of the “rioters” from January 6.

The reason… he thought he was allowed into the Capitol.

Epic Defense

Matthew Martin was facing four misdemeanor counts.

He had been charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

Martin claimed that when he entered the Capitol, he was just going “with the flow.”

The kicker, however, was that he said a Capitol police officer is the one that opened the door and let them in.

Judge Trevor McFadden issued a bench verdict, acquitting Martin of all charges.

McFadden conceded that Martin had been in areas where the public was not supposed to have access, but he supported his decision by saying the officers present did nothing to stop him from going into these areas.

This is a fairly significant decision, as there are other defendants that plan to use this defense.

Democrats could be talking to themselves for months with a precedent now set as these verdicts start to roll in.
