We have our first Supreme Court Justice that has tested positive.
Liberals will be delighted to know that test came from Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
They will be disappointed, however, that he is showing no symptoms.
Another Breakthrough Case
Kavanaugh has been fully vaccinated since January.
So, this is yet another breakthrough case.
As is typical of these cases, Kavanaugh is not reporting any symptoms.
Kavanaugh found out he was positive through routine tests ahead of the ceremonial investiture of Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
The rest of Kavanaugh’s family was tested, all coming up negative.
The real question here is in how this will impact the future sessions of the Supreme Court.
The Court was finally due to hold live arguments, so we are waiting to see if that gets put on the backburner or not.
It would have been the first live session of the Court since the pandemic hit, as they have heard arguments remotely since the pandemic started.
I bring this up because of the age of several justices, all of whom would be considered high-risk, even in a breakthrough case.
We will continue to monitor Kavanaugh’s health and whether the Court decides to move forward with in-person arguments.
