Everyone is starting to show their true colors now.
Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) slammed Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch after Roe v. Wade was overturned on Friday.
Collins accused them of lying during their Senate hearings regarding respecting precedent.
Liars!
Collins claims that both justices lied and misled her during private meetings and public hearings.
While I cannot speak to what they said privately, I do know what they said publicly.
They vowed to respect precedents on merit, which Roe v. Wade did not have.
The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg predicted that Roe v. Wade would be overturned at some point because she knew it was a faulty ruling from the outset.
As I have mentioned before, that particular case was not about women’s rights… it never was.
Out of pure desperation, Collins believes the court should have upheld the precedent, not due to its legal merits but because the country is “desperate for stability.”
Is she serious?

Turley made the same points I did regarding what the two justices promised during their hearings.
Collins is already on her political death bed, and I am fairly sure her actions since winning re-election will seal the deal if she does decide to run again, which she hopefully will not.
We need brave new blood in Congress… it is time for relics like her to go.
