Wednesday was a day that many of us feared was on the horizon.
Joe Biden proved conservatives right by blaming rising crime rates on guns and advocating for the reallocation of COVID funding to gun violence programs and police funding.
Senator Kennedy (R-LA) ripped Biden and his team after the speech in grand fashion, calling Biden’s mystery adviser on crime, “Butthead.”
Take the Money and Run
All around the country, Democrat mayors have been reallocating police funding for social justice programs.
In the process, they have crushed police morale and devasted their local forces.
This has led to mass resignations and retirements as well as a significant rise in crime rates in these very same cities.
Chicago, Portland, New York City, to name a few, have all fallen victim.
Joe Biden found a way to tell us all we were right without actually admitting it.
In the process, he also railed for gun control because Democrats seem to believe guns have the magical power of committing violent crimes all on their own.
You see, it could not be that the failure to prosecute crimes and emptying current occupants of jail cells on our city streets is to blame.
Kennedy, after hearing Biden’s speech, stated, “Whoever is advising the president on crime, and I don’t know who it is, but whoever it is, his Secret Service name ought to be ‘Butthead.’”
He continued, “Why has Chicago become the world’s largest outdoor shooting range? Why is it safer to walk down the streets of Mogadishu than New York City?”
Kennedy answered his own question, stating, “Crime is not up, as the president seemed to indicate today, because of inadequate background checks.
“Crime is up because many, not all, but many members of the president’s own party believe in defunding the police.
“They ran on it, and in many cities, they’ve done it. Crime is up because many members of the president’s own party want to turn cops into social workers.
“Crime is up because many members of the president’s own party think all cops are racists, including, apparently, the African-American police officers.
“Crime is up because many members of the president’s own party think that when a cop shoots a criminal, it’s always the cop’s fault. But when a criminal shoots a cop, it’s always the gun’s fault.”
