Just before Christmas, Joe Biden did a softball interview with ABC News.
In that interview, Joe Biden promised that rapid tests would be available by early January.
Well, the first-third of January is over, and still no tests, and Peter Doocy put White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on the spot.
Where Are They
Here is Joe Biden on December 23, 2021…
Early January he said. Not mid-January or late January.
The fact of the matter is many of the contacts for the testing were not even signed until after the New Year.
Joe Bided had more important things to do… like going to Delaware for an extended holiday vacation.
In Monday’s press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy called out Psaki on the lack of testing availability in this country.
Doocy asked, “I heard the president say, ‘Google COVID tests near me. So, as somebody isolating with COVID, I did that.
“And the appointments everywhere were completely jammed.
“So, why is it that you guys were so unprepared for the need for testing after the holidays?”

Doocy: "[T]ests…require people to go somewhere & either make an appointment or wait in line….You guys said you were going to mail free tests to people that need them. Doocy: "I understand…the science says the vaccines prevent deaths, but I'm triple vaxxed, still got Covid. You are triple vaxxed, still got Covid. Why is [Biden] still referring to this as a pandemic of the unvaccinated?"

The best part about this exchange is that Doocy never backed off.
He continued to push back, and, as usual, Psaki never actually answered any of the questions asked.
I saw a report today that most experts believe the arc will start to go down regarding Omicron infections.
To Doocy’s point, since the tests have not even started to become available yet, these tests will not be out to Americans until well after they are needed.
I lost count of how many times I stated that due to the timing of the start of this commitment by the White House, the surge was likely to be over when the majority of tests were available.
Here is the next question that Doocy should be asking… Why did Joe Biden take an extended holiday break rather than staying in DC to work out the contracts?
Even if the contracts were signed and orders were in place two weeks earlier, it may have made a difference.
Now, however, we are unlikely to see the majority of the tests made available until the spring, when they really won’t be needed.
I guess we should take solace that due to Biden’s ineptness, we may actually have tests available the next time a big surge hits.
