On Friday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments both for and against Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates.
It was a pretty interesting day, especially when you consider some of the statements made by the liberal side of the bench.
Two claims that caught my attention were made by Justices Sotomayor and Breyer.
They Are Just Wrong
So, the Supreme Court is the highest court in the land and the jurors are expected to deal in nothing but facts.
However, what we had yesterday mainly was disinformation being spewed by Justices Breyer and Sotomayor.
During the hearing, Sotomayor raised concerns over the growing number of children that have been hospitalized with COVID.
Sotomayor claimed that 100,000 children are currently hospitalized from COVID.
The problem… she overshot the actual total by about 96,000…
Here is Justice Sotomayor saying that "hospitals are almost all full capacity" and there are "over 100,000 children" hospitalized with covid "many on ventilators.
None of those things are true. Not even close. pic.twitter.com/MqWEL2UvJg

Per a Washington Post report, there are about 4,000 children currently hospitalized nationwide with COVID.
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham went ballistic over the claim…
Justice Breyer made a similar mistake.
Breyer claimed that 750,000 million people tested positive for COVID in one day in the United States.
Justice Breyer says that there were "750 million new covid cases yesterday"
There are 330 million people who live in America which means everyone apparently got covid twice in the last 24 hours. pic.twitter.com/rzMf8OzAlj

Well, he is just a little off.
There are only about 330 million people in the country, so we would love to know where he got his data from.
Breyer more than likely added a few zeroes to a total that was supposed to be about 750,000, which would be a more accurate number regarding new daily cases.
And, I hate to say it, but infections really are irrelevant at this point.
The only numbers that matter are true hospitalizations and deaths, and those numbers are both down dramatically.
In fact, a report recently surfaced that hospital numbers are being grossly exaggerated across the board, with COVID cases being overreported.
Many of us are seeing numbers when people are admitted to a hospital and tested for COVID rather than people being admitted to the hospital for COVID.
Flu on steroids… that is what we are dealing with now, but these justices apparently want us to believe that the second coming of the plague is upon us.
When you have Supreme Court justices buying into and spewing fake news, you know we have a real problem on our hands.
What do you think of Sotomayor and Breyer using fake data to support their arguments?
