Joe Biden is only one year into his term but insiders already believe he may call it quits.
Former Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) says Joe is already thinking about packing it in.
According to Dodd, Joe Biden “might not” run for re-election.
It is hard to imagine Joe Biden beating anything other than a box of rocks in 2024, and that may not even be a lock.
Joe Biden has been getting crushed in polls, behind in most key states against anyone, including Donald Trump.
The thought process generally seems to be that Democrats are going to have to put another name at the top of the ballot if they expect to have any chance of winning.
Dodd, for some reason, still seems to believe that person should be Kamala Harris.
He stated, “I’m hoping the president runs for re-election.
“But for whatever reason that might not be the case, it’s hard to believe there would be a short list without Kamala’s name on it.
“She’s the vice president of the United States.”
This goes to show how tone-deaf the part is these days.
Harris may be the only person on the planet polling worse than Joe Biden right now, so why Dodd believes she would be on any shortlist is just baffling.
Harris has blown every assignment given to her, even screwing up on the recent trip to Paris with her atrocious fake accent.
Biden, for the record, has given no indication he will walk away, regardless of how he is polling.
Back in March, he was adamant that he plans on running for re-election, but three years is a long time.
Biden would be 82 running for re-election, which would put even more pressure to have the right person on the ticket with him, and Harris is clearly not that person.
Honestly, nobody atop the Democrat food chain right now is appealing, so unless they get some fresh blood in the race, both 2022 and 2024 will be bloodbaths come election day.
