Rand Paul Delays Sanctions On Russia

Senator Rand Paul actually did it.

The Republican from Kentucky just iced the Senate’s bill to halt trade relations with Russia.

Many Americans might be concerned about what Rand is doing, but don’t you think he knows the method behind his madness?

Rand Paul didn’t put on the kibosh in order to help Russia though.

Paul’s main concern was the language in the bill that could presidents overly broad sanctioning power under the Magnitsky Act.

Anyone involved with politics knows, you can’t just look at the black and white of this particular situation.

Any ruling, law, or bill you make impacts America’s future.

Even though aggressive sanctions might be the move right now, is it really worth giving Biden too much power in the future just to get things done quickly?

Rand Paul definitely does not think so.

“The new Magnitsky Act doesn’t define human rights abuses, and a president who argues abortion is a human right could allow sanctions against a person or country who denies abortion services.”

THIS is the type of vision we need from our leaders.
