This weekend, former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows dropped a bombshell on both parties.

Meadows revealed that Trump has been meeting behind closed doors with former Cabinet officials.

Meadows is now convinced that Trump is ready to move forward to be at the top of the ticket in the 2024 presidential election.

We are all waiting to see what Trump will do regarding 2024.

His move would dictate who comes out to run and who sits on the sidelines, possibly being tapped for a role in Trump’s administration and a possible handoff in 2028 if Trump were to win.

For instance, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Kristi Noem… all names that are being tossed around, but none of them are likely to run against Trump.

According to Meadows, that decision may be made soon.

He stated, “We met with several of our cabinet members tonight, we actually had a follow-up meeting with some of our cabinet members, and as we were looking at that, we were looking at what does come next.”

Meadows added, “I’m not authorized to speak on behalf of the president, but I can tell you this, Steve, we wouldn’t be meeting tonight if we weren’t making plans to move forward in a real way, with President Trump at the head of that ticket.”

Trump has previously stated that he would wait until after the 2022 elections to make his announcement, but the recent Texas election may have changed that strategy.

The former president will not want to risk a negative news cycle, so the time may be hot to pounce now while Joe Biden is reeling in the polls.

Barring any legal issues, I don’t see anything preventing Trump from announcing a third crack at the White House.
