Authorities are reporting another mass shooting, this time in Maryland.
Reports are still coming in, but it appears that a man entered a local factory in Smithsburg, MD, around 2:30 p.m. EDT.
The man opened fire and killed at least three people.
Shooter Engaged
This surely would have been worse if not for the actions of a very brave Maryland State Trooper.
The shooter had escaped the scene, but a Trooper was able to find him and engage the shooter.
As he approached the shooter, he took fire and took a shot in the shoulder.
However, the Trooper was able to return fire and put the shooter down.
The factory was the Columbia Machine factory, which produces production equipment and molds.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office stated, “Units immediately responded and located 4 victims, 3 of which were deceased at the scene and one who was critically injured.”
This situation is still developing, and we will update as necessary.
