Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
As such, he would be privy to reports coming out of Afghanistan regarding threat assessments, possible attacks, etc.
Yet, instead of doing his job, he was obsessed with impeaching Donald Trump, and according to House Minority Leader McCarthy (R-CA), Schiff now deserves some of the blame for what is unfolding in Afghanistan.

We have all seen the reports regarding intelligence on how quickly Afghanistan would fall without our troops on the ground.
Yet, with Democrats in charge of both the House and Senate, there have been no hearings on this.
Instead, Democrats remain focused on taking down Donald Trump.
That obsession has now cost lives.
McCarthy is pointing the finger at Schiff, stating, “We should have been having hearings on what’s going on over there. We should have been able to gather that they would collapse this fast.
“But Adam Schiff was too focused on impeachment than doing the job he was supposed to do.”
He added, “How much time did Adam Schiff spend looking around the world of what his responsibility is?
“When you’re on the Intel Committee, you learn things that other members do not know. But he spent all this time on politics.”
Schiff may have actually helped McCarthy make his case earlier this week regarding those very intelligence reports.
On Monday, Schiff stated, “Intelligence agencies’ assessments of the Afghan government’s ability to maintain itself became increasingly pessimistic over the course of the last six months.
“There were any number of warnings that the Taliban might take over, and some that included a potential of a very rapid takeover.”
So, Mr. Schiff, why was your committee not working on this and advising Joe Biden differently regarding the withdrawal?
I think it is time we start talking about the removal of Schiff right along with Biden, Harris, and the rest of this administration.
